It is a cool song. That and 'ask me how I know'. Hopefully him (Pinson) or like the Van Zantz will go on tour together, that might get me to a concert.

Ice, midol, and some mojitos, plain whiskey shots'l get me back in shape quick and long nap tomorrow, then I get 2 spackle the ceiling and paint (but I have a sprayer)...

The PTO Big Bro reality show/ Big and Rich 'We're coming 2 your city as the theme song.

Enjoy your children over the summer!!!! How often do we get to be with our kids 24/7? And, summer DOES end, its not like its forever (although it does sometimes feel like it, I admit)

Oh, yeah, the lyrics do sound depressing when you just read them. It's a whole different song when you hear it on the cd! It's actually a very upbeat message. Life does stink sometimes but it's ok because "I'm fine either way!"

When I was a kid my k-5 school was year round. We didn't know that all schools weren't like that. I moved in 6th grade and was surprised by the long school year and summer break. You're right, d, it is about the # of weeks.

DAAAANNNNGGGG CC--glad I saved some mojitos for today....and prozac for that matter....

August 15th back to schoolllll...MAN that rules...but you know we had an initiative here for a committee to discuss the early/late start thing. One mom said "Well I know before we moved here and we lived in Florida by the first week of August my guys have NOTHING to do anymore and they're ready for school...." I was like "lady--they get off school like May 12th..it ain't about the date on the calendar...it's about the weeks they're off". I'm ALMOST pro year round school with 3 weeks off summer, 2 weeks in fall 2 weeks in winter and 2 weeks in Spring. Spread the wealth a bit. In VA we have the "Kings Dominion" Rule that says we go to school after labor day to ensure families keep their vacations going as long as possible...you know "VA is for Lovers.." An oldie but a goodie..

Okay--Shake it it off CC...show us something perky!

Shawn, how are you going to be the masseuse if you have a sore arm? Take care of yourself because we're all counting on you at the Big Brother Season 15 house!

Went to my favorite cafe for lunch today. The owner cooks everything himself. The "bowl & a roll" is always yummy, the bakery case is packed with homemade goodies and everything comes with a free 2 minute shoulder rub by Mr. Owner himself. Honestly, I go there first for the shoulder rub and second for the cookies.

And, Shawn, I found your theme song:

Bobby Pinson - I'm Fine Either Way

Mouth full of blood one eye swoll shut
I mustered up one last punch
before I bit the dust
he was the biggest dog in that fight
but he'd picked on me for the last time
and I spent the night icin' down my pride
everyone in the whole eighth grade
said I lost that fight that day
it was only him and me who knew about my victory

Comes a time when a man's
gotta know where he stands
gotta go with his heart
lick his wounds and live with his scars
you give all you can give
might lose, might win
like that boy who became a man that day
I'm fine either way

walls are bare, there's an inch of dust
on a broken frame picture perfect once
'til she gave up
I loved that girl with all I had
for "better or worse" all went bad
and that was that, no she ain't looked back
she couldn't live with what I couldn't be
but I've learned to live with me
there's some things I didn't do right
but I'm gonna sleep fine tonight

Comes a time when a man's
gotta know where he stands
gotta go with his heart
lick his wounds and live with his scars
you give all you can give
might lose, might win
she might stay gone
she might come home today
I'm fine either way

I plant my feet and you can bet
My mind aint gonna change
my best friends and my enemies
wouldn't hesitate to say
I'm one of those you either love or you hate
I'm fine either way

I'm fine either way

I'm fine either way
