To buy me drinks, and boats and planes that I can use
I know your really living

So if you feel like giving
Friend I've got a jar to fill

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.

I can't even imagine the stress! When my parents divorced 8 years ago, my twin brother wanted to buy their house and remodel it. My mom and three sisters begged him not to do it because it would be too hard to go there for a visit.

Maybe you could send a sort of 'tongue in cheek' change of address card to family and friends. In it you could explain how much you love 'your' house, like visitors at 'your' house, come see the fabulous changes at 'your' house, etc.....

CC, thanks for the kind words. I have to admit I am stressed in general and that is pushing my pesimistic outlook. To be perfectly honest, I didn't want to get the house because I knew this would happen-similar to buy a vehicle from a relative or going into business with a friend-I'm not allowed to say anything negative about all the work we've had to do because that seems like criticism and it's just hard. Besides the fact, when people come over, they feel like it's still their house that they can dig through for stuff and make assumptions that things are still the same and complain to me for getting rid of something totally useless (or dangerous) that they "needed to use" when they come over, and other such nonsense. I'm just stressed out and tired of having boxes everywhere, not to mention, I haven't done anything I needed to get PTO stuff ready for the upcoming year.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Shawn, that's the perfect song for our tv show. PTOCES, are you taking notes. Actaully, I think Big & Rich should just live in the house with us. Well, at least Big Kenny.......

I'm having the time of my life
No worries on my mind
Everything's just fine
Today is even better than yesterday
Everything's going my way
I'm living in the big time
