Hubby and I went to a Neil Diamond concert about 10 years ago. Looked down and saw all these balding heads staring up at us...very funny once we started to point them out .
I think I'm pretty diverse...country to springsteen with an occassional stop at Yani...if the wine is good....

I listen to it all; grew up listening to the oldies (LOVE Niel Diamond - ive seen him in concert twice), I'm an 80's baby so my main listening diet was pop and alternative (anyone familiar with Depeche Mode, they are my all time fav group) I'm finding new rock all the time - just discovered a new group called Goldfrapp (think techno Blondie). Of course growing up in TN there was the share of country music from Alabama to Kenny Chesney to Big & Rich.

How about this board - is there a concensus or is it an eceltic group?

Luv- that's cool- hope my kids think of me that way in Jr High

CC- I'm on my way, searching classifieds for inexpensive houses as I type - Meryl look-a-like is a pretty good trade off

Bronco's - Shanahans a dope (which is OK 'cuz they're in the AFC)- so send hubby to game and restaurant- bar, you show up 10 min later in broncos jersey and 'Hey, your a Bronco fan can I watch, drinks, dinner and romance later (I'll send an email to tell him this beautiful girl wants to watch the game, saw him and thought he was cute, but not to be an armchair QB - she's beautiful but she aint stupid)

Hot cocoa and donuts for me please

Oh.. Is that song off a new Big & Rich CD (is it the same music as the CoorsLight 'Love Train?)

Fingerless gloves? the Kim Possible (think bicycle/ racing) kind or Maddona kind (think like a virgin video...lacy/fishnet)

dlf- if we were all in same PTO/PTA-- would we spend too much time drinking coffee and tea while eating sweets (cake, donuts) and be too cliqueish.... Naw... there's just too much to not share, but it would be fun too be the fly on the wall (or a Reality TV camera)

I'll take a cup of tea if any is available, then we can all sit down and dunk the homemade donuts I brought with me! Still warm and covered in cinnamon and sugar!

I am so in the mood to bake and cook today. It's cool and cloudy here so that helps. I have a loaf of wheat bread rising and am thinking soup for supper. I may REALLY make donuts too! We'll see how I feel after the meeting I'm going to this afternoon. It will either keep my cheerful attitude going or frustrate me with the ignorance of some people. Oh yeah, the annoying coworker is on vacation this week-WooHoo!!!

Last night my husband was printing of some homework for my daughter. He handed it to me for a review and in the paper she was writing to describe a collage she had made, she had put that it contained the word "Mother" because the collage was supposed to contain something about her hero and her hero is her mom. I was trying not to blubber in my chair. Sometimes you wonder if your middle school kids even care if you're alive-then something like this comes along. Then I'm thinking she might need to set her standards a bit higher!
