Shawn--you forget from whence I came. I used to go on overnighters with hundreds of guys I wasn't married to, slept in the same tent, showered through a tin can with holes punched in it while one of them filled it . This is not that type of overnighter...it is a grown up time where we can giggle and watch whatever we want, eat ice cream for dinner and candy for lunch and whatever else we want...oh and we might do some other grown up things too.....

Quiet here ('cept during the USC - ND game- suxx being the only ND fan in a bar full of USC people)

We put up tree, fake snowed the inside of front window, and are srting thru ornaments and lights (limited space this year- tree is 7ft though)

Kids made pommerons (sp?) -- the oranges with cloves and covered in cinamin last night

d- going on an overniter with the guy u married as opposed to a guy you didnt??? (sorry couldnt resist the joke) :D

DC in the winter is cool- If ya sit just right you can feel the warm air flowing down from the Capital building at night ;) while watching the snow fall over the Mall

My mom is lobbying for all to move closer to Indy so her 15 grandkids can be near her- we used to have the big giant family deals to with alternating Holidays at a diff relatives house- I miss that- ooodles and ooodle of family (I'm from Indy and we had closet KKK idiots too  )

Congrats --- Butler Univ (Bulldogs-Indy) NCAA basketball preseason NIT champs :D

Oh D that sounds so fun! you definately deserve it after everything you've been thru this year. Kinda puts things in a different perspective huh??

That is so funny you talking about your family and family reuniuns. My husbands family is Greek (came over on the boat) and look at me like i am a foreigner! And my side is all rednecks from south GA and quite scary. I kid you not, when my great grandfather died, we found a KKK hood in the closet. That was the last time I visited those folks. I wanna come to yours!!!

Everyone was so nice on Friday! We met some really helpful people and friendly people. Only Brandsmart was crazy. I went to Barnes and Noble for a book I needed for school. At customer service, a guy said he wanted the same book I was looking for and he and his salesperson went looking for his list of books. Mine found it in the computer ( only one copy left) so off we went. I was on the floor looking for it, when the other salesperson came up and instantly pulled it right out and handed it to the guy. The guy told his salesperson that was rude cause he knew I was down there looking for it and he handed the book to me. he said I needed it more than him and for me to take it. I got up and hugged him--a complete stranger. I got his address so I can mail it to him after I get done with it.

I am so ready to make stained glass candy and buckeyes! If I hadn't ate too many deserts at Thanksgiving and having to lay down to button the jeans, I would be baking now! Hubby got up at 6 and started putting lights on the house and trees. Football starts at 1, so he is on a misison to get things done!!

i don't want the kiddo's going back tomorrow! This has been such an enjoyable break!

You guys are definitely putting me in the mood. My sister is coming on Friday to watch the boys and the man I married and I are going to Alexandria (about 1.5 hours away) to spend three nights at the Hilton. It is so crazy that we live so close and hardly ever get to DC for the holidays. My best friend and her hubby are meeting us. It will be nice to spend some time just he and I after all we've been through this year.
Scott--sounds like the best reunion ever. Love the name tag and tree thing. What a wonderful legacy you are giving your children. Big claps to the worker bees for putting that one togethere!!!
Thanks for bringing the spirit early to me this year.
