The more the merrier- we're all equal opportunity socialites (ir sometimes offenders like ME) -and your an Aries, too (fellow hard headed, quit witted, adverture seeker)

With my next million -I'm gonna have a PTOtoday getaway -so everyone can meet in Vegas and live it up- now if the Maloofs and Mr Cuban would just sign the contract to underwrite it- we'd be in business

Truckin' - got my chips cashed in
Keep Truckin - like the doodah man
Together - more or less in line
Just keep Truckin on

Arrows of neon and flashing marquees out on Main Street
Chicago, New York, Detroit it's all on the same street
Your typical city involved in a typical daydream
Hang it up and see what tomorrow brings

Dallas - got a soft machine
Houston - too close to New Orleans
New York - got the ways and means
but just won't let you be
Most of the cats you meet on the street speak of True Love
Most of the time they're sittin and cryin at home
One of these days they know they gotta get goin
out of the door and down to the street all alone

Truckin - I'm goin home
Whoa-oh baby, back where I belong
Back home - sit down and patch my bones
and get back Truckin on

COlts win!! Colts win!!!

Tons of vinyl here I am glad to say I remember my parents having 8 tracks, but not I. LOL
My 5 year old thinks that the LP albums are huge CD's but don't sound as nice.

I have to say I didnt come to this page too much before in the other format, But you all crack me up. I wish I knew you all in person it would be quite a hoot talking PTO.

Robin -- Up late, plus PTO today is home page - so even if I'm doing other work- on other open pages or appz- sometimes still connected (online) to site- I'm always up late -- How was your Holidays??

Everyone should listen to 'the Dead' and 'Kiss' to stimulate their brainwaves and appreciate good music - 8 tracks (Wow- I'm old) I still have some but no 8 track player- tons of vinyl, too

I have an actual vinyl - Jim Steinman, Bad For Good. I threw the 8 tracks out two or three moves ago. I had fun last month explaining 8 tracks to my son when we saw one ....... in a museum.....

Grateful Dead - I wasn't cool enough in my youth to listen to or even know who they are. I just listened to whatever my two older sisters allowed me to when they were playing their own records. They were big fans of The Rolling Stones, Kiss, Hall & Oates, KC & The Sunshine Band (torture).... My music appreciation widened greatly when I started dating hubby. He rocks.

OK.. here's one you all will laugh at.. For Christmas we gave our 13 year old daughter " The very best of the Grateful Dead"....... while we are NOT deadheads.. we do like to expose our kids to a variety of music.. from an historical perspective! Everyone HAS to hear Truckin' at least once in life! She loves everything from jazz to rock to new age and everything in between. Our one music rule? NO RAP!!! :)....... ps.. she loves the CD!

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell'
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...
Welcome to the Hotel California...
Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes Benz
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain,
'Please bring me my wine'
He said,'We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine'
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the Hotel California
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device'
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
The stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
'Relax,'said the night man,
We are programmed to receive.
You can checkout any time you like,
but you can never leave

I think if I dig hard enough in one of my boxes I could still find a 8 track ... that's gotta be worse than having an actual vinyl ... imagine what the kids would say!
