Okay-had some Army buddies in last Friday and made ceviche, grilled marinated leg of lamb with roasted pepper salsa and panna cotte w/fresh berries for dessert. My old Colonel said "When did all this cooking happen" I told him I had to do something with all those warfighter skills and continuing to work with weapons like knives and fires just seemed a natural outlook. I think for the first time ever they may have seen me as a girl. What a hoot...

My poor son. I had him trapped in the car for 45 minutes and made him listen to REO Speedwagon. He returned the favor with Creed - full blast! But that's OK because I like Creed... just not as loud as he likes it! I know, Shawn, I'm a big loser. No Grateful Dead in my past. The only thing I know about Jerry Garcia is that Ben & Jerry's made an awesome flavor in his honor. Cherry Garcia anyone? Mmm, cherry ice cream with cherries and fudge flakes. I'll take two scoops!
