and for the moms of yuong boys, theyre probably equally hoping the classmate girl their 13yr old son meets up with doesnt have a pierced navel and tatoos! LOL
Luckily this boy has none of the aforementioned attributes. They have gone to school together since kindergarten and he's a very nice kid. I'm not even sure of his "intentions" because he actually includes my son in all the activities, which relieves my worries to a great extent. He has a much older brother, so some of it may just be that he wants someone to hang out with and they are all taking tennis lessons together this summer, so it's a natural flow to just continue hanging out together.
d, you really are a glutton for punishment! You know I tried for a few years to get our group to do some end of the year things, but nothing ever happened. Most of our involved families are busy with baseball and softball and just tired from the rest of the year, so the enthusiam just hasn't been there.
That does sound like a long time for your pool. Are they working on it at all? I'd be tempted to go get one of the little wading pools and when they are working, send the kids out to play in the tiny pool and let the workers listen to them complain about the lack of room and fight over who gets to use the hose. That might spur them on!!
AHHHHH that's scary...I had a neighbor say they were going to scream the first time a long haired boy with a tatoo and pierced nose came to pick up their baby girl. I told him I was gonna scream if it was one of my boys .... hahahaha....
Last week of school on the horizon. We have a swim night this Saturday and then we are sending the toys to the Afghan orphanage--and 2 programs next week. What else can we SQUUUUEEEEZZZEE in before the end of the year.
So here it is June and the pool we signed a contract for in SEPTEMBER isn't done yet...well the rock work isn't done yet and they cannot finish the pool until that aspect is finished. I mean MY GOODNESS....so we're still swimmin in the bathtub....
Gosh it's quiet around here. CC better come back soon!! Maybe if I whip up a big chocolate cake people will show up?!
Here's a topic: There is a boy hanging around at our house. No, not my son. He's one of my 12(soon to be 13) year-old daughter's classmates. Hubby hasn't started with the dirty looks quite yet.
Okay ... I've had it. 3 days of weeding in the rain. I am soaked, muddy, sore and tired. I love my neighbor and thank her graciously many times over for all the fresh goodies she allows us to have out of her garden but I am done. I can not weed anymore. Don't get the wrong impression of my neighbor, I volunteered to come help her it wasn't a requirement for her families charity to us but I tell you ... she can weed in the rain all she wants. I on the other hand will be holding out for the next back to back days of sun before I head on over to help her again. As for the rest of the week I am off to find the bottle of Aleeve and bake/cook with all the goodies she has given us so far.

Weeds!!! UGH! Need I say more? No matter what I spray, lay down under the mulch, they grow tough here in central NY. About as fast as I can pull 'em. It has turned into a nice chore for the kids though...ha ha ha:p
