Our teachers handled the parking and the set-up for us and then when it was time for the kids to go to school some of the moms stayed to clean up. This was done for both of our events.
To those of you who do Muffins with Mom: who does the work? I don't want to set up a MwM until our Dads(who are about to enjoy their second Donuts with Dad this year) are organized enough to do all the planning and working that morning. I'll be darned if I'm going to direct parking outside for 45 minutes (like I did at DwD) while my kid is inside eating a muffin without me.
One thing that our school does when holding our Donuts/Muffin events is that we schedule them for two back-to-back Fridays. This allows for Dad's/Mom's that work shift work to attend at least one date.
We had our Muffins w/ Mom and Donuts with Dad this week which coincided with Catholic Schools week. We had a wonderful turn out for both! We are a school of 225 families. For M/M we had approximately 315 Moms and kids and for D/D we had approximately 275 Dads and Kids. We held it from 7am to 8am. It was amazing to see how many came to participate. I believe we spent less than $250 per event. These were free family events.
I'd love more info on both of these events as well as any flyers too please! I'm a brand new President with a PTO that's been pretty much nonexistant the past several years. I'd love to get some things started! Thanks! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
