What about asking the kids what they would like? We are an elementary school so don't have all the "God forbid should I be seen with my parents" issues, but we use the kids to pick the theme for our spring carnival. They love having input.
I am new to this sight and need your help desperately. I have agreed to help out a friend who has a family crisis, and she has been the VP/school activitie. There is a Family Fun Night scheduled for February 11th. I have ordered the kit from the PTO, but would appreciate any new and fresh ideas for games, and ideas for crafts. Anything to improve the Family Fun Nights we have had in the past. My son is in seventh grade, and has said these nights have not been too successful, except for the Blow-up obstacle course in the gym. I would love to be the one who changes their mind or outlook on this night. Exciting posters, flyers, or maybe just a motivating announcement for the Principal to be able to inspire these fussy MIDDLE SCHOOL students to participate in a night with their parents and siblings. Just so everyone knows, we are doing the Family Game Night put together by PTOtoday. They sent us a packet with the game ideas, planning kit, and poster. I did have to design my own letters to send home, so that's what I'm sending to everyone. Order your kit from the website-it's a great help. We're very excited about our event. It's this coming Friday and we already have RSVPs for 123 people!! Just praying that the weather cooperates!
