We just held our first donuts with dad. We sent out reservation forms and only had a few dad's come who weren't reserved. We planned on two donuts for dad and one for every student in the classroom (we held our in the classrooms).

We went with Krispy Kreme, one choice of donut vs many to choose from. We ordered 38 doz and Krispy Kreme gave us 4 doz free. The cost was $4.25 per doz.

Total in attendance was 250 students and 90 dads.

HOpe this helps a little

You should know how many will be attending. We asked for donations and had a sign saying who donated. If they aren't willing to donate, then asked if they can do it at cost or under cost. Most places will help out. Let them know that they will get credit for helping so they might get more business! That always helps!

There were so many awesome posts on this subject I thought I'd start a new thread. What I really need to know is the cost. We have 565 kids - say 250 bring parents (?) - for those who have done this how many donuts do I plan for? Did you get quotes from bakery's or did you just go around asking for Free Donuts?!
