Thanks....I just sent for the license information and ordered the movie night planning kit as well. Once you have the license in hand and rent the DVD or VHS you wish to show, what actual equiptment is needed to show the movie? I guess we'll rent a large screen to put up on the stage in the gym, but what else is needed to actually show the movie? Is it a certain type of projector and sound needed?

We haven't done one but I got the kit a few weeks ago. It is really helpful. We decided to make it free and provide popcorn and a drink to each person. Check out the website link to the left, School Family Nights and movlic.com for liscensing info.

We are a Pre-K through 6th grade elementary school. We have been seriously lacking in the family nights department and have decided to give Family Movie Nights a try. I sent for the PTO Today planning kit, but in the mean time, can anyone give me information on how the set up works? The equiptment we'll need? Is there a big hassle to get the approval for public viewing of the movie? Do you charge a nominal fee to make back some of the costs, or is it best kept a free event to promote more attendance? If you would like to email me directly, that's fine too. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Thanks so much.
