Hi,
When we do our silent auctions we list from where the basket was donated from or class. Then we list the contents of the basket. It is really hard to see down into some of them because there is so much stuff inside. We also have a starting bid for each item. believe it or not if you don't some parent will want that movie basket for $5.00 and its worth $50.00. You also can not expect a lot of $$ to be bid on any such item.
This is a fundraisier and you will be happy with what comes your way in $$. We had a Hotel night go for $25.00. It killed me!! I was so mad that people were so cheap but then again it was an elementary fundraiser not Junior League.
And at the very bottom I had the starting bid and the final bid and had the winner sign off on it saying they received it and with what forms of payment the paid in. And give reciepts espicailly if they paid cash.
Our last one brought in $3500.00. And to think I was worried :-}
