___PTC MEMBERSHIP - assist chairperson with encouragement of all families and
staff members to join Franklin PTC, help with editing and completion
of the directory and calendar. (Fall only - you may be called based on
input from the previous year as well as the current year)
___CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT - work with a team of teachers and parents to
plan for/coordinate the "extras" to our students' education (all school
year)
___FALL FESTIVAL (a.k.a. HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL) - a festival of family fun
___GIFT WRAP fundraiser/JOG-A-THON (school wide) - work with Ways and Means to plan
for/carry out fall pre-holiday sale (a portion of the proceeds will
defray 5th &6th Graders' Science Camp expenses) and/or
plan for/carryout a spring jog-a-thon
___BOOK FAIR - help with sales at this "mobile bookstore" during the weeks of Back to School
activities (fall) and Open House (spring)
___ART DOCENT VOLUNTEER (once per month during the school year) - teach kids about
various art forms based on a preset curriculum (you will learn about
everything first before sharing with the kids)
___HONOR ROLL LUNCHEON/AWARDS - assist chair with coordinating/executing a
wonderful bonus received by students for academic achievement and
good attendance (end of each trimester)
___B.E.A.R. NIGHT (Be Enthusiastic About Reading) - help with a fun evening at the school for
3rd-5th graders celebrating the wonders of reading (this event usually occurs in Feb. or March) CHAIRPERSON(S) NEEDED!
___OPEN HOUSE BBQ - assist Hospitality Chair with family BBQ at spring Open House
___GM BOXTOP FOR EDUCATION REDEMPTION PROGRAM - assist chair with
accounting and management of the program (all school year)
___7th/8th GRADE ACTIVITIES - assist teacher/staff with coordination/execution of dances or
other activities as needed, including the 8th grade graduation dance (the
latter is not provided by the District)
___DRAMA PRODUCTION - help with upper grade production - costumes, sets, rehearsals, etc.
___CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS - helping hands/plans for sprucing up Franklin (all school
year)
___END OF YEAR BBQ (for students) - help plan/set up/feed hundreds of kids ready for
summer vacation (June)
___HEALTH AIDS - assist nurse with coordination of students to and from testing for vision,
hearing, etc. (as needed)
___LIBRARY HELPER (before or after school) - assist librarian with book inventorying, etc.

If at all possible, I too would like a copy of the survey. Being new at this, I am finding that there are so many things to learn. The person before me didn't do anything but hold short, dull meetings. Thus we have no parents or teachers attend. It sounds like this may help! Thanks!
