Oh geez I see all the posts now. Yeah that is bad. I can't even bother reading through them. It's sad! Some people definitely do lose sight over why they get involved in the first place and the kids get lost in all of it.

Pals...This is all a great point! I somehow missed whatever fight was going on and have no idea who was calling whom what was going on and I must say I am glad I missed it and I hope those posts have been removed.

This made me think about a post over a year ago or more where members of the posters school realized by information she was giving out whom the poster was and they began to attack her on this site and at school. People at the time debated the issue of why we use screen names or alter the facts a little about issues to remain anonymous. The fact remains as you posted that thousands of people access this web site and read and write posts. You can't ever assume if you are having issues and ranting about people that they or someone they know is reading your post.

Alright I have been on this site for a half hour today and was reading some posts, to me it appears that there seems to be a few parents who are on here trashing each other. These parents seem to be from the SAME school!

As a very experienced leader and poster on this site I feel that I need to address this as it it very bothersome. Yes you can disagree but please come to the table with facts, name calling and putdowns are not really needed.

As I read these posts all I worry about is that school, parent groups are a part of the school, any parent group that chooses to air their dirty laundry on a public web site that is read by thousands and thousands of people is not doing their school any good. that reputation is hurting and we all can sit here and think 'wow what a group.'

This truly devastates me that as grown ups we can't have meaningful conversations about parent group issues, it is truly sad that the damage being done they don't see. You are doing damage...trust me. Ask for advice, take that advice and go into mediation if you have to, but saying that this person in trying to ruin the pto's work, that she isn't getting things her way, we are fueling her fire is so petty. This does not or should not be public!!!

A parent group is suppose to be about the kids, they are suppose to be for all parents in your school, bylaws should be available, special meetings to set the ballots should not be called. This forum is a great place to get that advice and I hope that some of it goes to heart.

So my thoughts, I am so sorry that you can't see the damage you are doing by arguring on this site, it is sad, really really sad. I feel sorry for your group, school and the students. I really do.
