NSF Checks

For NSF checks you can try calling the bank the check was written on. Tell them the account number and the amount of the check you are holding and they will tell you if there is currently enough in the account to cover it. If you get lucky and there is enough - quick re-deposit the check and cross your fingers. (This might not work with larger banks, but I have done it with smaller ones.)

This is why our group uses an agency to collect for us and it is set up so that it doesn't cost us a thing and the bank sends the NSF checks right to them. If this woman really wanted to work with you she would have been in contact by now even if it was to say my ex emptied my account. It looks like she is getting away with $400 unless you take this to the next step. Since we started using an agency instead of handling it ourselves it has made the statement that our group will not settle for being robbed and I hope you can make that statement for your group as well.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Unfotunately, she no longer has kids at our school. She bought script from us. Her phone is not accepting calls...number disonnected or changed with no other info available. She is a former school parent.

[ Unfortunatly, she did not respond at all to that letter.
Have you tried calling and talking to her. If she does not answer her phone, what about when she comes to school (parent/teacher conferences or other events) ambush her???

Thanks for the input so far. FYI, we have already sent one letter offering to allow her to pay in installments. Unfortunatly, she did not respond at all to that letter. We would never have her arrested! I just need to know if someone has any type of form letter they use in this type of situation.

thanks
