I'm not sure how much it will cost, but we sent the design to the district print shop. They will cut it for us. I will keep you all informed on how it turned out.

Obviously, you need to do whatever works best for your group. But do check this out pretty carefully. We considered using perforated business card stock for our drawing tickets - which are sized like business cards. If you get one of the big brand names like Avery the cost was $13 for 250 or about $40 for 1000. Plus, you still had the work of tearing them apart. (There was a lessor brand that had some for $6 per 250.)

How many tickets will you be using? At our event, the tickets have a value of 50 cents and can be used for refreshments, bingo, and pictures. Even so, we used more than 2000 - one year even more than 4000. With the roll tickets only being about $5 per 2000 and no work, it was no contest as to the choice for our cash tickets.

For our drawing tickets (where they write their names and drop the ticket in a jar) we use a namebadge size template but just print on paper and cut them out. Since we only need a few hundred, it's not that big a deal.

Whatever you do, keep us posted as to how it turns out. Good luck!

We had our meeting last night and we decided to make each ticket the size of a business card and use the perforated ones. They won't be expecting that!

Even if you make your own, if noone looked for the stamp last year, they may not notice the tickets this year. Besides, if someone is determined to be a cheat they'll find a way around it. Unless the loss was big, I'd just go with the store bought tickets and pray for humanity!

I am going to try to convince them to used store bought tickets and do something to them to show that they are ours. We have a whole roll of them and I don't want them to go to waste, plus as several of you have pointed out, it would be a huge headache to cut them out. Thank you for your advice. I may need it again real soon. :D

I would question the number of "bogus" tickets passed and consider that in relation to the expense (including time) of creating your own tickets or of ordering a more custom ticket design.
