McTeacher Night

You can go to any local resterant and approach them about doing this. Getting the idea from Barnes and Noble and Friday's, I approached a local Italian family resterant about doing this. They agreed to a Tuesday through Thursday one week. It allowed for families the flexibility of when it was a good day for them to go. We did pretty well, $800.00 and they got repeat customers. Ended up the HS lacross team used them as well and then they booked another event there. So it was great advertising for the resterant.

Using that as your "pitch", go to any resterant and ask for 20% of the total bill (minus alcohol) if the customer says they are there for your school. OUr middle school has one night every month at Friday's, but I'm going to suggest they set up nights all over town with various places.

Doing it for my one and only ~~ my son!

We tried to get one for our PTO last year. Since the teachers donate their night to our student council. Our PTO was told no, just one night per school year. This year they are going to let our PTO try our own night. It is in December so I am thinking, hungry Christmas shoppers and also the middle school is across the street and they have a winter concert that night also. I really think we should have good traffic!

I just called our McDonalds and they gave me the number of the girl to talk to and she got the ok for the second night and set it up. It was really easy and they only asked for two volunteers per hour. I know we will have way more than that! All we do is greet customers, refill drinks and clear tables. Easy! They also said to expect 15 - 20 % of sales from 4 - 7 p.m. that night. Drive thru included. Cool! Can't wait. I think student council usually gets gets around $300.

Our school runs ours so I don't know how well we do, but the place is packed every time! The one we use has a playground, so the kids get to burn off steam while the parents talk. We have more than one per year, maybe 2 or 3 altogether.

Other companies do these events also-Boston Market, Baskin Robbins, and I think Sweet Tomatoes come to mind.

We have one every year and make about $800. The place is wall-to-wall with customers, but well worth the efforts. Everyone has a great time and the school benefits. Our local McDonalds even donates a bike to raffle off at the front door!

We have both franchise and corp owned mcdonalds here in our area. only the company owned ones here host Mcteacher nights.

Each school is allowed one per year. Ours are 4 hrs long usuallly from 4-8pm and ANYONE who walks into that McDonalds (drive thru included) we earn 20% of the sales.

We usually do about $250-$300 but our McDonalds is located right across the highway from the Ford Plant and Boeing. We are a small school of 250+ students and when we do our McDonalds Fundraising nights, we barely make $50 profit???? So we look forward to these nights.

Try to find the McDonalds websites to see if the ones near you are corp owned. Tehy have all the info there on their site under community or something like that.
