Walmart has a money matching grant. Up to $1000. I don't know who else does.
A neighboring school does this very thing. I don't have the details but parents are asked to donate and then different companies offer matching funds to the school.
I have had so many parents who tell me they are sick of fundraisers. They just want to give money. So I got to thinking what if we did a money drive & that lead me to thinking maybe we can find a 2-4 business that will match $ for $ up to maybe $1000 - $5000.
So what do you all think. Do you think it's doable. Has anyone done anything similar? Any details or ideas would be great.
I haven't mentioned this to the rest of the board yet. I thought I'd like to come more prepared.
