Our school has done this fundraiser for the last 4 years with great financial results. We netted over $25,000 last year and we only have 530 students. It is difficult to get the parents to pick up the orders but we do our best to remind AHEAD of time when pick up is and the nightmare of that seems to be getting less and less. In the end we have usually ended up with approx 15 tubs of 'extra' cookie dough and we donate it or give to a child who didn't participate for whatever reason.

We use Masterpiece Cookie Dough company and have always gotten good results.

Does the word nightmare mean anything?? [img]smile.gif[/img] We tried this once but we do not have the freezer space to store an order. Pick up delivery is the problem and if you do not have enough storage space you will have a huge problem on your hands. Do you have parents willing to deliver to the door step of people that place orders? If not and you do this get them, dont try to send this stuff home with the kids it wont survive. Parents will make promises to pick up for a week and still dont show up, or show up when no one is around to hand them their order. You have freezers that break down over night and you come in to find a goo sitting at the bottom of your storage space again beacuse you were not able to get the order out the same day you recieved it.

On the postive side this is a great money maker!

We are a large school - about 1300 students - and are considering doing the cookie dough fundraiser. Has anyone done the refrigerated cookie dough before with a large group? If so, how the distribution work for you? WOuld you do it again? If not, why? Thanks!
