El, We just spoke to our Classic Cookie Dough rep. yesterday and they know even provide us with a disk that allows us to enter each students name, # of tubs sold, our profit and check amount that will go to them!!! They are so good to work for. They kick off the sale with a "Cookie Critter" touring the school, provide samples at our PTO meeting for parents to taste and stay with us on delivery day until the last tub is gone! This will be our 3rd year and he advised that so far all schools this year and doubled their profit since last year so we hope to do well. So far, we have never had more the a dozen tubs left over to deliver later. Good luck and if you have any questions, please e-mail me!

we did it our first year.
we have track change, so when we delivered on a Wednesday we still have kids not pick up cookie dough buckets and go off track! what a mess. We have no access to a large fridge to store this. We have to dump 36 tubs of the cookie dough thanks to a parent not communicating with us to pick it up. We reorder it at our cost (she was insistent on taking this left out cookie dough in 100 degree weather) and I DROVE IT TO HER HOME to make sure she got them and it was out of our hands.

What exactly does a cookie dough fund raiser entail?

We've done this two years in a row, and it had been well received. We've been lucky with distribution; we usually try to time it to be in conjunction with another event at the school (e.g., teacher conferences, evening programs, etc.) to make it more convenient for people.

We just finished up a cookie dough fundraiser with the pre-measured, boxed cookie dough. The school netted over $10,000. We have just over 500 students. What we did was to turn down the thermostat in the gymnasium so the dough wouldn't thaw, since we didn't want volunteers to have to work in the walk-in freezers all afternoon. It worked out really well, had a really good response to parents picking up.

We have done this for the past 2 years and will kick off our 3rd year this month. We have 450 students and profited $6000 1st yr, $8000 2nd yr and hope to reach $10 this year. The company staff stays with us until the last tub is delivered and we haven't had that many to not pick up. I agree it would be a nightmare if parents didn't pickup so I agree on getting the notice out early and stress in several letters that importance of picking up on delivery date. Would it be to bold to announce in last reminder all tubs not picked up by (?) would be up for sale with no refund to 1st buyer? It really is a good fundraiser and both years we've had parents calling to see if and when we were going to start the sale. Good Luck!
