Hello! My school recently signed up with Schoolpop.com. Has anyone used this site? Has your school been successful with it?
They currently have a 20/20 Promotion going on where if you can get 20 people to sign up AND make at least 1 purchase by Dec 31, 2004
AND
Get 20 people to apply for the Schoolpop Visa & make at least 1 purchase by Dec 31,2004
Then the school automatically earns $1,000.
Is anyone working on this program? If so, I could really use some advice! I'm getting some people to sign up to shop online but most haven't purchased anything --or so it seems (takes 4-6 weeks for the vendor to report to Schoolpop).
The even bigger challenge is how do you get people to sign up for the Visa card? I'm finding people get very withdrawn when you start talking about credit cards. I've even suggested they just use it ONCE to help us earn the easy $1K. I've only had 3 takers so far (and 2 of them were my husband & myself!) Too bad because our school will earn 1% of every purchase made with these cards.
Can anyone give any advice? Have any of you been successful with this promotion or Schoolpop in general?
