We use the Wal-Mart program every year. We apply to them, and they match our proceeds (again up to $1,000). We apply in the spring, but don't necessarily get it until the fall.
Our middle school PTO recently held a spaghetti supper and made just over $1000. Our local WalMart will match up to $1000 of what we make -- although I don't think we've seen it yet...
