Any Ideas?

When I was in high school our FBLA had a matchmaking fundraiser. They had everyone fill out personality questionares during homeroom and then the next week you could purchase a printout of your compatability list for $5-I think. We had a school of 400 and they sold to more than half. They also did a fundraiser where you could send a heart shaped sucker to someone and it was delivered during homeroom for $1. This went over very well because $1 is afforable and at the least people were sending them to themselves! Good luck.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

How many kids are in your school and what grades would be involved? Also how quickly do you need to raise the money?

Can a local shop donate some sort of motor vehicle to auction off? An offroad motorcycle, seado, maybe even a used car? (I'd say new but that's really hard You could sell raffle tickets for $10-$20 each. Or we did this years ago at my own school. We had a donated junker car and students could hit it with a sledgehammer for $5 a hit. For some reason, we loved to hit that car...
I think you were asking for some original ideas that would appeal to teens? I hope those helped!

Thanks for your reply. A garage sale is a good idea, however, we are looking for something that would get the students in the school to give money to. We have come up with students voting and paying to see a teacher kiss a goat. That alone will not raise enough money. One Other fundraiser that the school has done, not the Beta Club, is having students pay to vote and we shaved a teacher's head. If you have any ideas like that, I would appreciate it. Thanks again.

The Beta Club is a national club for high school students with a 4.0 gpa or higher who want to help the comunity. We need to raise about $1,000. Do you have any ideas?
