pizza kits and candle sales

Our school has done the Little Caesars fundraiser. We have always made a good profit on them. The day of pick up, have volunteers ready.
You get them in bulk and have to set up every order.

We do Home Interiors candles in October every year. The Home Interior Representative gets the orders ready for us and delivers them to school. All you have to do is hand them out. We have always made a good profit and the candles sell themselves.

I forgot to mention about Yankee Candles, just be prepared ot have a couple of volunteers when they come in, because they come in big boxes, and you'll need to sort them wehn they come in.

Yankee candles sell great. www.gbimarketing.com is the website. I think that this company is the exclusive Yankee fundraiser company. We just made roughtly $5,000

For pizza we have always used Joe Corbi's. www.joecorbi.com So do most of the schools, teams etc. in this area. It usually does really well, they practically sell themselves - although I am intrigued with Little Ceasars.

Anyway, Good Luck!

Bensmom,

How do you get away with only 4 volunteers in 30 minutes? Do the orders come presorted??

Little Caesers delivers in bulk on pallets and then you have to pack the orders. It takes forever.

Joe Corbi Pizza and Cookie Dough is great. We've tried a few others but many say they like the crust of Corbi's better. On delivery day, we make it for 1:30-2:00 and set it up in the cafeteria. Get 4 volunteers and have pick ups that day from 3:00 till 6-6:30 (you will have to call a few that forget regardless of how many reminders you send out). It works every year.

I can't help out with the candle info but we have also done Little Caesar's. 2 years ago they delivered 9 pallets of pizza kits and cookie dough to our school. It made pretty good money and we did in January with delivery the week before Super Bowl. Plus we had the top sales of the month and we got a bonus check. I think it was $500.

Our problem was the volume and the fact it is perishable. It takes a lot of volunteers on delivery day and the packages are bulky for the kids to take home on the bus. Bus riders had a 3 kit maximum and the rest had to be picked up by a parent. We stayed until 6 p.m. to accommodate everyone and still had about 6 orders that weren't picked up and we had no where to store them.

We have since tried other things but may go back to pizza kits next year.
