Opinion Needed

No to meds of any kind no matter kids or adults. You can check with your local doctors but I have been informed that many OTC meds are absorbed in the liver and can be potentially fatal to anyone who may have a liver condition or to anyone who does not know they have a liver problem. Tylenol is one of those meds which took me by surprise. Why take the risk.

I agree completely: I would have to say no,no, yes, and absolutely no. The ADHD thing was a big red flag for me. I think anything that is handed out at a school function should be school related. I would rather know as a PTO President I was handing out a bag with a pencil and a sticker in it than medicine samples. I think there is to much to risk these days expecially with so many people being so SUE Happy!! Just my 2 cents!!

I'd say no to Meds even if it was a 'Parent Only' Event- and 'Goodie Bag' someone always doesnt have daycare, etc.

In this day and age you could have a sign the size of TX "For Adults Only" and someone will invariably let their child have it without checking and then will sue because the sign wasnt the size of 'N America' or wasnt in their Native Language

even with our liability coverage (kinda like those generic school permission slips absolving of gross negligence, etc) I dont beleive the adage "Bad Publicity is better than no Publicity"

Pals was able to expalin exactly my concerns with the meds. Our school also had a very firm "no drugs" of any kind - from tylenol to cough drops. So to put that type of item into a "goodie bag" would seem to be a contradiction of school policies.

Tim the only reason I said that is that in my years on this forum I have always felt that you seem to be right on the ball, I guess I was surprised that you would ask when I felt that you already knew the reaction that you would get from us! It was like you were trying to set us up...but hey you are right it is better to have that mass backup!
