Opinion Needed

Interesting. Thanks crazy --

Clarification question: 1) any distinction for you if the med is a really widely used/mild med (say: Bufferin, for example) versus something more serious (say: "Nyquil" or the like)? 2) any distinction if the bags are definitely passed parent-to-parent (at evening school events), as opposed to sent home with the kids?

My issue isn't with the goodie bags - it's the meds in the goodie bag. Sample or not - I don't think it's a good idea. As a parent my eyebrows would be WAY up if I got these items at a school event - they just come accross as troubling.

Just my .02

Could use you opinion on how this would fly with you personally and/or with your school.

There are various times when we offer "sample/goody bags" out to groups for passing out parents who attend PTO events. Example: some groups that run a Fun & Games Night get a special invite to participate in the "goody bag" program. Bags are often filled with, say, 1 candy bar, 1 pen, 1 sample size deodorant, etc.... maybe 9 or 10 things. We have approval on everything that goes in the bags. Feedback has been really positive -- parents love getting the freebies and parent group leaders love the chance to add value to their events 9for free).

So....

Let me give you a couple of types of things that could go in the bags and get your first reactions on if they'd be good additions/bad/controversial/etc.:

1. Over-the-counter adult pain killer (aspirin/acetaminophen) sample.

2. Kids allergy medicine sample.

3. Candy bar.

4. Coupon for an ADHD medicine

(Note: some of these aren't even on the drawing board; I'm just trying to gauge in general what folks would like/not like/find troubling/not.

Thanks,

Tim
