I like your ideas for my responce. Actually my sister IS an airplane mechanic.

Why nonsequitur: I was very timid when I started posting online until I started using nonsequitur. I figured if anyone didn't like what I posted I could reply, "What do you expect from someone with nonsequitur as a sign on?"

Webster's definition - "a statement (as a response) that does not follow logically from anything previously said."

It helped me get over the fear of messing up. Now I realize that if I really like a website, my comments are generally welcome. (hint, hint to lurkers ;) )

A none-too-subtle reference to my alma mater in Indiana. Knute Rockne.

Tim

PS -- I'd ask what nonsequitur stands for, but wouldn't the proper response to that have to be something like:

Blueberries, or...

My sister is a pilot, or...

I didn't know about Istanbul

Sorry.

#4?? It was four or five years ago. I think I probably have 1,2,3 and 4 in some name or another. When we were starting the forum and testing for bugs, I'm sure I registered multiple times. Just happened that I got comfortable with Rockne. I was going to go with 'Board Czar" but that seemed a bit over the top.

Tim,
I agree about separating city and state for those who need anonymity ( had to chuckle on your post Bertha).
Everything else already mentioned is OK with me--you still have the option of not filling any of it in on the form.

One thing I might like to have is the option of adding a sig to posts. I don't mind using my name and seem to forget to type it since I'm accustomed to a sig on other discussion sites.

BTW Tim--how'd you end up #4? I would think you'd be member #1. Just being nosy.

It would be good to know what type of person you are conversing with (prez, treasurer, parent, teacher, etc). Also, private vs. public schools.
