Forum Profiles

I'm assuming it would be an expansion of what's out there now - allowing field by field choice on what to display, not display....

That being the case, I'd like to see city and state separated (instead of together as it is now). I would probably show my state, but not city. Now it's both or neither.

Group acronym would be good.

I don't know about $$ raised. It changes every year and is too variable. (Net or Gross?, funds raised by just the parent group or by the school?) I can't see that an undocumented number would mean much.

I'd rather see if the group is a 501(c)(3) and/or incorporated.

Of course, one problem will be that the profiles are by person. A single person can belong to 2 (or more!) parent groups depending on how their children are spread out.

How about average number of volunteers involved in their group, maybe average attendance of group meetings.this may sound funny but sometimes i think we all get worked up on these things and it would be nice to see how you compare to other schools???Maybe?
How about favorite thing about volunteering and worse thing about it...

Those sound good to me. I would be a little iffy about the city, but I'm all for the state or some sort of region(ie, west coast, south, etc.).

I don't know that I would want my city and state listed, but the other info would be fine and very useful in determining whether the ideas and programs presented by a poster were possible for your group.

OK -- after the "how many times do you check the site" thread of a few weeks ago, I started looking into the personalization features of our forum software.

We can add more data to poster's profiles and maybe even change how profiles are displayed to add some personality to the forum. Thinking about working on that for back-to-school.

My question: What info would you like to see about people (if the people agree to let it be displayed, of course)? What would be helpful in networking and sharing?

City, state
Number of students
Grade levels
Group acronym
type of school (public, private, catholic)
$$ raised annually?

Are those good? Any others?
