Arsenio Hall was a late night talk show host in the early part of the 90's. He started the WOOF WOOF and rolling your arm thing. He also dated Paula Abdule but of course sssshhhhhh, they were just friends.

My oldest was born in '91 so due to no sleep that's how I know him.

oops now i must be older than you or i dont watch TV enough (have too many kids, not enough time) or both cuz i dont know who arsenio hall is.,,,,but never mind, i dont need to know!
and i agree with you :
" I don't care if they agree or disagree. I just love having a forum to exchange ideas and to learn from other's experiences. "
you dont need to reinvent the wheel , you come to these blogs and someone will tell what worked/not worked for them and you save a ton of time and hopefully money and headaches too!
give a little , get a lot. or give nothing (just lurk like the blog intro says) and learn a lot. its the only thing thats free in life (unless you count your time reading these blogs as money!)
wonder if our kids will choose this blog site in middle/hi or if they have other favorties....please, dont even tell me i can guess. thats another topic, the internet and kids. yikes of major proportions

I still have my t-shirt and reading everyone's posts...yeap, everyones'...I must be the biggest free loader in the school!
Too often there is food left over from a potluck lunch and we have learned from years past that nothing gets eaten if left in the fridge for the staff OR one person whords it all. Even at our church, when big dinners are served a plate is made for Father to take home and the reast is divided up between all the volunteers. We worked, okay someone else paid for it but there is no use for 10 lbs of leftover meat....nope not even near by shelters will take food (depends, but when we have called from school or church the answer has ben no).

Our reasons for sharing the left overs is not for perks or benefit but because to throw away the amount of food that is left over sometimes is crazy. As far as gettign perks from a real job, I would rather bringhome the leftover salads and burger patties from a BBQ I spent 35 hours prepairing than working 40 hours a week for 50 weeks and get a ham. I love my "job" and my perks are not food....I enjoy the respect, friendships, adult conversation, and being valued more than money could ever give me.

A Thank you once in awhile is better than any cheese cake, too.

aOK - you're cracking me up. A 'shout out' isn't midwest, it's more Arsenio Hall. (Yes, I'm old and a geek...) Anyway, it's a good thing. It's just saying 'hey' to people over the airwaves.

I agree with you about the frequent posters on the boards. There are so many smart people willing to share ideas. Sometimes I'm so sure of my ideas but then I read other posts coming from a different perspective and I think, Hmmm, that's an interesting way to look at it."

That's what I hope people do when they read my posts. I don't care if they agree or disagree. I just love having a forum to exchange ideas and to learn from other's experiences.

crew chief - 'I'm away from the boards for two days and I still get a shout out from you! Right back atcha!!"

is that midwest talk? a "shout out"? hope its all positive, thats how i took it to mean anyway.
anyway, there are lots of great people out t/here, i just cite the ones that are the most frequent post-ers becuase they are at the tip[ of the tongue...but the ones who are not writing maniacs like we, the Phil Bs, the Capedads, the ones with -moms in their names, when they do speak/write, i listen up too. i

i would join there ptos in a heart beat, too.

BUT oh i forgot, school is about KIDS and not the ADULTS. my kids dont much care which PTO i sit on , mom is the same no matter the affilation.

hey, doenst mean anythigs wrong with mine, dont anyone take offense here!! not meant that way at all, just meant to give credit where credit is due, thats all!
