classroom sizes?

All people are not reasonable. In a perfect world maybe but not this one. Believe it or not there are some administrators who want you to send your children to school and that is it. I think that we should feel entitlement that our children get the best education possible. This should never be about personalities but what is right for our children for a better tomorrow. These are (the children) the people who will be making decisions for us when we older. Maybe we should see what other countries where their education system is doing better than ours and learn something.

Rights on, I'll try to find that answer for you. Give me a couple of days. Have hope. Sometimes bad adminstration can bring down good teachers sometimes not. Hopefully the trend of your school getting good test scores stays where it is or goes higher.

precisely the attitude i have received from the admin! everyone is entitled to his her opinion. thats what makes america, and these message boards, available to all. and no, my children are not required by law, in my state, to attend, they are currently there by choice, on account of AGE. it all depends on the state you live in , and the laws. last post from me on this. been down this road before.

Just two comments. If you have an apethetic administration then I have to ask why? That is usually a response to a certain type of person. Any reasonable person will listen to a reasonable person, just plain and simple.

Secondly, I sense a feeling of entitlement from you. Just because you pay taxes does not mean the school district employees work for you. You are not a customer of the public school system or the PTA/PTO. You are a tax paying citizen who is required by law to send your children to school. Good luck with your challenges.

apathetic and pathetic are different by one letter. i think admin should respond to parent requests, i think admin should listen to parnet concerns and treat all parents fairly and not give preferential treatment to certain favored one. ignoring a parent's concerns before first hearing them out and getting all the facts goes against what good administrators are called to do and does not serve the children well, imo. we all hvae issues with our school, it seems from these boards. there is much that can be done better. you have to remember, these are public schools and they are here to serve us. i call it apathy when the admin does not even have the courtesty to reply to a parents questions. this is not harsh, i think it is a reflection of attitude.

I was thinking how the administration hires the teachers. So if the teachers are good someone is hiring good teachers. I would give them credit for that. Also what ever additional training the teachers get should be making them better teachers, at our school the administration helps with somem of that. Calling the administration pathetic is harsh, don't you think? Seems like they would get fired if they are that bad. Just my opinion. Good luck in your school!
