What to do if you know teachers "talk"?

Is she a gossip or does she feel like you are close to a staff member and are treating you as such? I know that I hear tons from teachers that feel like I'm one of them. I think the hardest thing to remember is that they are in a room by themselves most of the day and don't have much chance for adult conversation. I know I feel that way about being a SAHM. I am good friends with the guy at my bank because he will let me jabber.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Nothing malicious. Things like talking about the parents and things they've done, kids that are trouble makers, specific incidences involving kids, What makes me nervous is that if she's talking about these kids and people to myself and others in the school--surely she's talking about my kid. There's just something about it that I feel is inappropriate, and I always change the topic when it goes that way.

What do you mean? If you feel they are sharing information about a student that should be confidential, then I'd talk to the principal (if you aren't comfortable talking to the teacher).

If you mean other things, then what specifically? I don't think I know anyone who doesn't do a little griping, complaining, sharing war stories now and then. It's just a matter of when and where and what's appropriate.

What exactly are they saying that has you concerned?

Or, to coin a phrase, "Tell tales out of school?" ;)
