ARRRGH! Frustrating Situation Part 2!!

19 years 8 months ago #65450 by Serendipity
Hi Kmamom!

They have backed you into this corner. It's like you only have 2 options which are quit or fight like hell.

The only thing I think I would do would be to talk to the principal before you go to the BOE and Super. I would see what she has to say about why they were allowed to do it but you were not. let her know you are going to the BOE & Super with this. This way you don't look like you are tattling to her Superiors if you engage her in conversation on this matter first.

You know, I usually try to sit on the fence in these types of situations, even going so far as to side with principals instead of going with the popular opinions of my peers (that would be you guys...lol...). In this case, all I can say is:

GO GET 'EM... THEY'VE GOT A BIG HURT COMING!!!

I CAN NEVER SEEM TO CATCH A BREAK!!!!!!!

Those of you who have been with the boards a while, and are familiar with my never ending sagas  will remember a few months ago when my group had a cut-a-thon. According to BOE reglations it was problematic for numerous reasons for us to hand out the fliers in the school, so we had to go door to door. We were annoyed, but complied.

WELL, my b@ll-busting principal, who LOVES making sure I'm aware of all the rules and procedures seems to have forgotten this incident, because another group in our school JUST handed out fliers IN OUR SCHOOL for their-- guess what, and it's being held at a business RIGHT IN TOWN.

I know it's petty, but this one time I just CANNOT turn the other cheek. I'm calling the super and BOE tomorrow to voice some concerns about this. The damage is done--they already got to hand the flier out, but I still want it on the record that I was given VERY SPECIFIC reasons why this couldn't be done, and yet not only does another group go ahead and do it--but apparently the principal gave her blessing--and am I to assume the BOE as well--since I was told EVERY SINGLE FLIER HAD TO GO THROUGH BOTH ENTITIES!!!?! And if the BOE didn't give it's approval but the principal did--I expect SOMETHING to be said--HOPEFULLY AN @SS WHUPPING to someone OTHER than me!!!
