As past leader of our parent group for the past four years I was heartbroken when our new principal turned all the tables on us after one year. New rules and policies seemed to pop up out of nowhere all concerning a parent group who had had no complaints against them. THings have gone from bad to worse, and now some members think joining a pta is our only recourse to stop the abuse. I am nervous about making this big step. Can a PTO protect us from a control freak principal and an inept board of education?
