Silent Auction Fundraiser disaster

Just wanted to let you guys know the latest - I received an email from the other 1st Vice Fundraising. She wrote to tell me that she was able to get the Read-A-Thon approved. We had a hard time getting our President to approve it but apparently she is now for it. Anyway, my partner stated that she would get with me soon for my input on prizes and such. Go figure, I'm not on the board anymore but I am receiving emails on Fundraising issues. It made me feel good that she did contact me to tell me about it. After I resigned, when I turned in my Fundraising book to her; I did some research and -copied the pledge form needed and gave to her in case she was able to do the Read-A-Thon. We are having it on April 30th. I replied back to her and told her that I would help anyway I could. We have always had a good working relationship with each other and I'm proud she is still keeping me in the loop on Fundraising topics. Anyway, just wanted to give you guys and update, and again thanks to you all for all of the advice given.

u might want to read some books mentioned elsewhere...
Mean Girls All Grown Up
The Bully the bullied and the bystander
Queen Bees and Wannas Bees (dont know ifthose are exact titles, but a search of those words will find the books in any library)
You have done nothing wrong, and everything right. Move on and dont let them rent any more space in your mind, theyre not worth it, they have shown it and for that at least you can be grateful.Forget trying to state your side and the truth, some people believe what they want to believe and it sounds like they had ulterior motives anyway so its all futile becuase they arent interested in the truth or they would never have acted as they did in the first place.

Thanks guys, your right I shouldn't email the board this link. It will only add to the problem. As long as I act mature with integrity about the situation; then things should work out. I don't won't to bring myself to their level, I just need to take the high road and stick to the truth. I do believe that eventually the truth will come out. I just have to be patient. I will continue to participate in the classroom and General PTO meetings. I just need to hold my head up high knowing I did nothing wrong. Thanks again

I wouldn't bother posting the link because these people are not interested in the truth or your side of the story. They are mean girls who are interested in how PTO can benefit them, and you stand in the way of that.

I was in the middle of some lies and back stabbing last year too, and today I am president. I conducted myself with dignity and integrity. I refused to participate in any high school behavior but did not back down from the truth when I was asked. What I have learned about back stabbers is that eventually they all kill themselves off.

Hang in there. You are an asset to that school whether they know it or not. Karma will eventually get all of the mean girls

Got it -- sounds like you did all the right things and I'll be using the way you did the donation baskets when I put together my "how to" sheet for those things. You did awesome and these folks were jerks. I think sending the link will only inflame the situation...but of course that is your decision. I suspect I would just let it die out especially since you'll be in the town for a while it seems. I've come to realize that I cannot change folks very much and the way they do business. It is a sad truth, but no matter what you do they will continue to preach their side of things and more discussion is not what you need here. You can absolutely hold your head up high...and if you want to, call the golf place and ask them who used the certificate or if it has been used. Then you'll have proof it was stolen and with that...well let's just say I'd find a way to get that little bit of information circulated as well . dlf
