Recent posters ~ You will find that many of the PTO Today members are helpful and friendly, going out of their way to answer questions, provide feedback or just lend an ear when needed. However, it's incredibly unlikely that you will get a response from a 2 1/2 year old post. As with all other PTO work, these boards are transient, members come and go, info is outdated and replaced with fresh new tools and ideas, things 'move on'.

A better bet is to search the boards for examples of bylaws previously posted or ask specific questions about bylaws clauses, Robert's Rules and so on. You will be sure to get lots of useful feedback if you can be more specific with your requests.

Hi, I'm a new treasurer with a PTO that was nonfunctioning for probably 3-4 years. No one knows anything about bylaws. Could someone please email me a copy? I'll really appreciate.

I am the VP of our PTO I have asked for a copy of our bylaws but no luck from our pres so far I am starting to think she makes up the laws as we go along I have a friend that was a PTO pres everyone loved her she did great things for the school she has said that there are some things just not right with our PTO please can you send me a copy of your bylaws also

Snorlax, When we revised our bylaws we formed a committee at a general meeting that consisted of so many teachers and so many parents. We read through them updated what needed to be, then we took our changes before the general members for approval.
