They are giving me a "package", but I am a little concerned. Someone else posted that they have some bad feedback online, but I am wondering if anyone in this forum knew first hand.
If you have a Total Wine in your city you can request a donation from them. I got a wine tasting for 20 donated. They are also rolling out a 30% off their house brand wines for charitable organizations. Could be helpful to folks who have alcohol at their events.
I wanted to let you know that GSSafari has been posting about "donations" of fantastic hunting trips to school auctions. While these trips are fantastic, they are NOT, in fact, donations. Though it is not disclosed on the web site or in any electronic communications, these packages are in fact 50/50 splits with a minimum $2000 bid. So if you packages goes for $2000, you must pay $1000 to GSSafaris. Most bidders bid thinking their full purchase price is going to the school, in this case you need to disclose that you are in fact paying for a package, or you risk angering donors. Many auction have no problem paying for packages, and these are amazing trips, but they are in NO way donations.
Has anyone used Global Safaris yet? Some of our committee members were concerned about selling something so high cost without prior knowledge of the company.
