We were able to get the iPad3 from a committee member's sister who wanted to donate something special to our auction. We got the HP Touchpad as a donation from our president. We will be receiving some items from Best Buy also. We have requested an XBox 360 and 2 sets of Beats Headphones. I went to Best Buy's website and answered a few questions concerning our 501c3 status and it sent me to a page where I could print an application and take it in to our nearest Best Buy. We are also seeking electronic donations from Costco, Sam's Club, Office Max, Staples and Walmart. So far I only printed what we have received, and since our event is a little over 2 weeks away, we are still actively seeking donations.

Was disappointed that Keurig can no longer afford to send coffeemakers, so went into a department store and walked down the small appliances aisle, taking note of brands of coffeemakers and other kitchen items. Sent a few emails through contact us links.
Melitta USA responded within a few days of receiving my email, saying that they would send something closer to the auction. On Friday, received the packages. They sent 5 coffeemakers and 12 oz coffee tins to go with them. Five!!
Have heard from one other company that makes coffee makers that they will be sending coffee makers too - guess our auction now has a theme.
Anyway, for no cost for us, am pleased that we'll be swimming in coffee makers. (Will probably hold a few for the smaller fall auction - how many coffee makers can one auction sell?)
Now it's time to contact bakeries again to see whether we can get donuts or other confections to match up with our plethora of coffee-related products. Hooray!
