I had a similar problem with Green Mountain and the number. Try putting it in as a 501c3 vs a school. I don't remember if that works, but try it.

Have any private or Catholic schools had success receiving a donation from Greem mountain Coffee
Roasters? Even if it was just K-cups? Our NCES number is not 12 digits like public school NCES numbers so I am not able to get past the first page. Thank you for your help.

I know many places will not donate to private or Catholic schools, which is unfortunate as many do give back to the community as well. I do recall seeing a thread about Private school donations. I was wondering if people have had some recent success in this area. Thank you for all of your help.

Another suggestion is to search the websites of other schools (public and private), churches and organizations that might hold their own auctions. Often they will post the sponsors and organizations that donated to their auction. Great way to get leads for your own auction.

I found a few new donation ideas by looking at our state tourism site. It will list a variety of recreation, historical, museums, etc for you to send inquiries to regarding donations. I did get 2-3 new ones by doing that.
I've also found that it helps to send an email inquiry to the company or organization via their website to see if they make donations to charitable fundraising auctions and if so, what's the best way to make a request.
This saves some time and also gets you the direct contact name or tells you they dont make donations.
