My "virtual" husband was (well plan A) to be home by 5:30 last night so I could go to a fundraising event. (Down to one car as he let his brakes go!) 5:30....7:30.....9:30....well now the event is over and the phone rings, "One of the VPs is coming to see the store in the morning...I am so sorry!" He's forgiven...not his manager though! UGH! I wasn't chair but wanted to be there....

Hey Michelle, I have a friend with a house in the mountains...not 90 degrees outside but perfect inside for lounging around and enjoying the snow fall! I figure the mean people can dig us out when we are ready to leave....in June!!!
Otherwise I have nofamily coming and due to everyone's need to shop at 5AM (we don't go anywhere, as my hubby goes to bed VERY early to be to work by-yeap- 3:30-4AM) I can help ya out...
Don't mind me, this is the time of year I hate retail and the lack of respect from the "mean people" that have no idea what families of manangers give up......

God I need a drink!

I wonder, with all their southern hospitality, if there is a Parent Group Bed and Breakfast we could all vacation to? Maybe during Mardi Gras? :D

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Hi librarymom, this is not an exclusive virtual bar! it's open to everyone who needs a break every now and then.

I'm hoping to get lost in Bermuda! Honestly, I would rather go to New Orleans and live the life of southern leisure.

Just as long as we don't go to Jamaica. The people there are way to pushy and it's really hard to relax.

Grand Cayman? Naahhh, how about Aruba as in Aruba, Jamacia, girl I wanna take ya......(Beach Boys?)

Sorry for jumping in but I just found this thread and find it hilarious! I just joined the forum last week and have been busy reading everything I can find about how PTO/PTAs are run. And BOY have I learned a lot, both good and bad. There are some very interesting/strange people out there.

Hope to be able to add my 2cents worth soon.

Bermuda? and get lost in the triangle. How about Grand Cayman? We can lounge on the seven mile beach. It's amazingly beautiful and I'm not even a beach person that and I saw Tom Cruise last time I was there!!!
