We've a dog and I'm the one that takes care of him.And I end up taking the trash out, too. Hubby sure doesn't help.

Beleive it or not, he will call me at least 3+ times a day. For nothing!!!! One time I had him logged on 11 calls. He's great at asking 'whats for dinner?' when we get up in the morning. (and I'm not a morning person)

He likes to answer the phone using goofy voices and saying Joe's pool hall, city morgue, city zoo...

My 14 yr. old answered the phone one time and it was a telemarketer about internet. He really messed with the person on the other end. He used goofy voices and played like he didn't know about the internet and computers. It was hysterical for us.

Is he hinting about something there ScottMom?

My kids would love to have a dog, but I know who would end up taking care of it. It's not that I would really mind, since we always had dogs when we were kids, but my mom stayed at home, so there was someone there during the day to care for them. It would keep the neighbor's stupid cats from doing their business in my yard though.....

My husband is a real prankster. When we first got married my mom would call our house and we would answer various things like "thank you for call pizza hut" or "Bueno." After 2 weeks, I felt pitty on my mother and finally told her.
As I'm writing this (we are packing to move) and my 2 year old is pulling a computer mouse that didn't get packed yet around behind him like a dog on a leash! Just had to share that.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Well, once I got caught trying to be funny. For some reason my husband thinks it's hysterical to call me, throw on a fake accent and pretend to be someone else. Well, once I answered the phone and someone with a ridiculous accent asked for my husband. I said, "He isn't home right now because he's a big, dumb dork and works too many hours, leaving his poor wife home alone." That time, it wasn't my husband but an old college friend of his. Oooops

CrewChief, I will definitely be doing that the next time he pulls the phone call stunt! Too funny!

Reminds me of the time I had laryngitis and one of my pals from the corporate office thought my voice sounded like one of the girls from a 900 number. Not sure how he knows what they sound like-guess I need to ask him that. Anyway for the rest of the day he would call and ask for Bambi!

As for my hubby, I think I'll set the bottle of "poison" and the bucket, gloves, and goggles(this stuff is wicked)right in the middle of the spot in the garage where he parks his car.

Feeling a bit passive/aggressive today!

LOL Chief,

Mine would have come right back at me with something like

"If my girlfriend calls, let her know I got tied up at home!"

I can attest that the temp. in IL at that time was just as hot. Spent most of the weekend there out on the Naperville Polo Fields watching soccer. Could 'of used some of Shawn's Electric Lemonade Don't think I was up for the ham sandwiches though.
