Okay here is the "behind the music" story. I could careless about school because my mom is sick. She had a heart attack/small stroke two years ago and is still not feeling better. The doctors finally put in a pace maker but then she swelled up with fluid. Heart Failure is what I can spell from her new condition. I just want to fly home and say "E-books? Mom needs me, sell'em yourself" but my Dad has asked me to wait a couple months. He reminded me the kids need me more. They do, but I have one Mom and five kiddos....

You know what, I think I'm just not ready to hear all these new fresh ideas when we need to finish the stuff we started two years ago! And plans for a golf tournament but noone has moved forward.

i agree take deep breaths!! my kids don't start till the 28th of aug. i'm telling you guys this now in return hoping you'll remind me in a couple of weeks. we don't even have a fundraiser approved yet, no committee, i'm taking over with a big mess only partially cleaned up, and the last president asking, "why do we need to fundraise with all that money in the bank?" i found out earlier this summer, half of the bills haven't been paid from the last year! DUGH????

We go back Monday. Kindergarten registers Thursday night, we still haven't done our bulletin board. No ideas, first time w/ one. I don't know if the welcome packets will be here on time, don't know if the new tres. has went by and picked up the checkbook from out going tres.

22 days until school starts and I don't know wiether to celebrate or cry!

*No one knows who is handling the E-book sales
*No one knows who is going to even oragnize the rest of the fundraisers
*NO COPY CENTER
*Contractors STILL here building rooms
*6,000+ books to rebarcode

The PTO has been asked for help with the fundrasiers, new to us as we keep the school fundrasier separate. Just really not ready to deal. I'll have to be soon!

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
