Yep, the whole summer! I'm staying with a friend. Things got very sideways for me over the past 12 months. I'm taking the summer to assess some serious decisions, return to the basics and try to get back to my uniquely positive perspective on life.

But, nothing too heavy here on page two! It's summer, the school year is over or nearly over for everyone and we have a break before we have to jump back into anything.

I've got homemade salsa. d, how 'bout that mojito recipe!

CC.......COOL !!!!! Enjoy Albertville!!! Wish I were there now. I hope to be able to make several trips there this summer...I'm taking online courses also, 2 more weeks then a few weeks to enjoy my kids. Ever been to Chattanooga? Not too far from A'ville, Aquarium and Riverboat are nice. The zoo is being expanded. There is also Lake Winnie (amusement park). Have great week !!!!!

The whole summer in Alabama! Are you staying with friends or on your own? I'm too much of a homebody to be away that long.

Soft and squishy, huh? That's a good description of my mid section. Now that the weather is better and I can be outside, I'm getting back in the exercise habit. I'm just not good at jogging around an inside track or sitting on a bike watching TV. Yesterday I got a full body workout by digging up and replanting my grass invaded strawberry bed. Having your shoes caked with two inches of dirt gives the legs a really good workout. I have some soreness this morning, but I don't mind because it was well worth it. I did feel like the Little Red Hen(is that right?). I got out the tools and everyone disappeared.

The catfish sounds so good. Have to cook some up this week on a day when I can open the windows. I love fish(whole family does), but the smell.....Yuck.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

jajea, I'm in Albertville! Mmmm, Catfish Cabin...... Now I want hushpuppies. Maybe for lunch.

I'm hanging out in Alabama this summer. Shorty is testing for his black belt in September so we're going to be training hard for the next few months. Besides, I concentrated so hard on school over the past nine months that I didn't get into the gym or the dojo nearly as much as I should have. I'm feeling sort of soft and squishy these days. The extra training will be good for me too.

I'm taking two online courses so all I need is my trusty laptop and internet access. I don't need to stay in Illinois for that.

We went to the new Medieval Times in Atlanta Sunday. That was fun.

d, you're amazing, simply amazing. Congratulations on your successful Basket Bingo!

I'm always overwhelmed by the way a community comes together during a disaster. It's wonderful to see the human spirit alive and well.
