Way to go CC--you are really hanging in there with all this work and I'm admiring your dedication. I'm looking forward to this weekend so we can do some Christmas stuff. The boys have been bugging me since Thanksgiving to start to "bring up the Santa's.." but there is such a mess involved before order is restored I'm hesitating.
Men don't get it---really--it was gorgeous and warm here last Saturday but of course "any wimp can hang Christmas lights when it's nice out". So we'll wait till it's cold and miserable.
I'm excited that I might have the opportunity to head to work for the first time in a long time. Just one week a month but how perfect given the boys and all. I hope it pans out. I'm so ready for a change and the possibility is making me tingle. We'll see.
Gotta go blog...I've not posted anything in a week and I'm sure I've lost half my readers.

I am so ready for a break. I can't seem to get any of the fun things accomplished, like decorating the tree or wrapping presents, because I can't get anyone in my house to lift a finger to help me with the standard household duties. Let me correct that by saying I can't get any of the MALE members of my household to help. I'm about ready to travel to the headquarters of ESPN and pull the plug on their operations, then on to the BigTen Network. My daughter is trying, but she has so much homework and studying to do that she can't do much. Last night after she finished, she crawled under the tree and put the tree skirt around it. Next thing I knew she was showered and in bed at 8:15!! I'm thinking that one of my Christmas gifts to her may be a spa day for the two of us!!
Finals review this week and exams next week.... Then I'm on vacation until January!!! Woo hooooo!!!! OK, not exactly vacation but at least no classes, homework, reading reading reading, math math math. My brain is ready for a break.

Here's a good one for you all:
The other day my son informed me that he has become "immune" to my "mommy look". You know, we all have that look we can give our kids that makes them stop dead in their tracks 'cause they know that look means business. Well, according to my son, mine no longer works on him. I then gave him my "you think you're so smart" look(half smirk with one raised eyebrow)and said "Oh yeah? Well, is your behind immune to my foot?"
The good news?? The look does still work on my 14 year old daughter.
I just got back from taking the boys into NYC to see the Rockettes, tree, 5th avenue etcetera. WOO HOO what a trip. Even the New Yorkers were pleasant in a New Yorkers sort of way. I LOVE that area actually (having grown up in NJ). It's so exciting to see all that stuff so I'm definitely in the Christmas mood (despite 800 miles in the car in 3 days with 4 boys). I'm counting my blessings that we all made it in and out of the city IN MY SUV, without incident. Who could ask for anything more.
Time to take out the Christmas stuff....
I did go out for the first time on last Friday to get stuff to take up north to family. It wasn't too bad here. Maybe the news of the peoples butts shopping without their brains made it south already.
