New to the boards and need some help

Welcome ElfenPixie. We're glad to have you join us and I believe you'll find some great information.

Typically, the participation in this board has been more topical than geographical. So you aren't likely to find it a good location to connect with folks from your own school. "Never say never", but it's that's probably not the kind of interaction you'll find here.

Anyone is welcome, but the typical participants are PTO leaders seeking help. That's often the President or some other officer. Again - anyone is welcome to participate - it's not required you be an officer - but you can see the numbers work against you trying to find others from your location when maybe only one or two people from your PTO are likely to be involved.

That being said, THIS will probably be the time we discover TEN of your PTO mates on this Board!

But stick around. We're a great community and we all have lots to share. A question like yours is still valid, it just usually goes more like:

"I'm from an elementary school of ___ students and traditionally we do X, Y, Z. This year I'm thinking about proposing A, B, C. Have any of you tried this before?" (Or whatever background is needed to help us understand.)

Throw it at us more generally, and we'll share what experience and advice we can.

Hi guys! I am new to this site and was drawn here hoping to find some other PTO parents of the Evergreen District, specifically Crestline Elementary in Vancouver, WA. I am going to attend my first PTO meeting in a couple weeks and I have an idea about something we as parents can change and was hoping to get some feed back. Thanks.
