YES.... FunFlicks | In & Outdoor Movie Night Rentals - Our Outdoor Movies are Fun! . They offer a complete Inflatable Movie Screen, sound system & projection - they even provide the popcorn! Basic service starts at $299-$599 for the complete set-up. Pricing is on their website. They charge a mileage fee based on your location. It looks like they are opening more locations in various states. Currently, they offer service in MD, PA, VA, DE and NJ - from what I can see. Hope this helps. They were at my son's school - It was really cool!!

We are an outdoor cinema company that provides outdoor movie systems for rent in the Southeast.

To help offset the cost of our services, many schools have obtained sponsors in which we show their logos on the screen before the movie.

Showing your schools event outdoor's under the stars is a fun way to have a movie night. It brings back the nostalgia of the drive-in.

An outdoor movie can not be shown until sundown.

Also, Disney does not allow their movies to be played outdoors.

Regarding licensing, it typically starts at $250 and you must go through Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. or Criterion USA Home Page

When looking for an outdoor cinema company look for the following:
References
Type of projector used. At least 5,000 lumen projectors
Sound system used. At leasst 1,5000 watt systems.
Do they have liability insurance.

Hi, I just signed up for a movie night at our school also outdoor. For $700 they bring out 20x25 screen, projector, speakers, popcorn machine, popcorn and bags and a DJ to play while waiting on the movie. I thought that was a steal. They set up and break down. My question for anyone is do you have to have a liscence for a free movie? I am going to make some of my money back by concessions. Thanks for any input.

Could you post or e-mail me (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) the name of the company? I am thinking we either had to pay their travel expenses or else we got majorly ripped off.

I am pretty sure you were supposed to get an outdoor license, which costs a few hundred dollars. I won't tell. ;-)

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

one more thing...they set it up, ran the movie and took it down at the end of the event.
