We do Family Game Nights with an optional Fundraiser (mainly in SoCal) but any of the games or other board games can be used for a Game Night (rotating 8-10 board games- usually 2-3 copies of each) per group of 6-8 persons

you need about 8-10 8ft tables or benches (the floor works too)

demonstrate games and/ or have favorites (that rules are already known - via a survey, poll before hand)

popcorn, munchies, etc optional

RSVP is the best way to go -- so you know how many games to have (plus extra for walkins)

We market ours as a $1 per family or free event depending on what program is used and /or group wants to do (ie raise add funds, cover cost of buying games-- if they are donated, cost is lower, etc)

If you have any questions on doing a boardgame night contact me via our website - our goal is to one sell the fundriaser products, two increase participation and funding for schools but also increase playing, interaction education via boardgames -- I have lots of experience and FREE ideas so no sales pitch if you contact us

We are trying to come up with a new night. I have the PTO packet for game night and I have read some wonderful posts about game show night too---I am just not sure how to keep everyone interested with only a few playing the "game show". What have you had success with at your game night? We have a bingo nigth that is part of a fundraiser so that is out, I am wondering how to keep everyone busy and involved?? We are K-5, 500 kids.
Thanks!!
