Thanks ! We Have Had Pretty Good Luck , Even With Alot Of Lower Income Students, It Is Amazing That They Dont Like To Give The Weekly Reader Money But They Will Spend Money On The Fun Events! I Really Like The Idea Of Book Bingo Night. I Am Going To Check Into That, If You Have The Basics Of How It Works, Please Share. Thanks Again For The Response !

We have found out that when it's a small scale event and we provide popcorn/lemonade the best avenue is our donation jar. People put in what they feel comfortable with, but they don't have to. Make sure to advertise what it upcoming (the big inflatable for field days) it boosts the generosity.

Hello ! I am new to this site but decided to jump right in here ! I will be starting my 2nd year as PTO President at our school. This year was a new and learning expierence for me but I have had some great positive feedback, from not only the faculty but parents as well. In the past, this school did nothing ...literally nothing gang...since I got put in ( literally emailed and said hey you are the new President, in late Nov) we have had so much fun ! I am already jumping ahead and looking for ideas and things for the new year...and possibly at the end of this one that is right here on us...
I am asking for any ideas for some fun family nights...we thought a movie night and treats provided would be something we added next year, however I am reading all about these fun, book bingo nights, fear factor events, survivor events, deal or no deal, that sort of thing and would love to get some ideas and input on what all everyone else is doing. We have K-4 at our school, with approx 400 students. We host alot of lower income children as well, so we want to keep things reasonable on costs for them to attend but also bring in some extra revenue for the PTO funds...any ideas would be greatly accepted and appreciated ! Thanks in Advance !
