What about books on the ocean, sealife, plants in the ocean or rocks. For the math activity something with counting shells, adding, subtracting.

Hope that was somewhat helpful or at least could start the brainstorming process. LOL

Time to come to the experts once again. Michigan's reading month is in March and our school is using the Scholastic Book Fair theme of Catch the Reading Wave. We will decorate with a beach theme throughout the school. We have a family education night planned for the 15th and generally, we have one reading and one math activity, split by grades....k, 1, 2, and 3.
Any ideas for these activities? I was thinking of a beach bingo-type of game for the reading part, any other suggestions? I searched for beach party activities and there doesn't seem to be any educational ones out there. HELP! Thanks so much for any and all input.
