I have a question for you. Did you check on license? I was told that if it is free you do not have to have alicense. Do you know anything about that? I am planning my first outdoor movie night in November and it will be free(so I don't have to spend $250 on a license) and making up our money by concessions. I am doing a family pack 4 drinks 4 popcorn and 2 small candies and 2 regular size for $10. Or a kids pack juicebox/drink popcorn and kids snack size skittles for $3. Just to make it simple. I would love any comments anyone has about license. Thanks Regina
We are having our first movie night next week and I think it will go good. I have to say yesterday I called for our movie license and they were super nice and helpful...I told them PTO Today sent me! After taking a vote from our families we are showing "SnowDay", after getting almost 16 inches of snow yesterday I asked the movie license place "what happens if it snows?" she told me they would change it for us no charge...yeah! Now I just have to worry about our staff/parent volleyball that was cancelled last week and now we are expecting another snow storm this week...ugh!!!! This is why we try to do easy fun nights in January and February!! hee hee

Movie Length matters. Length of popular movies can vary from 1:30 to 2:30. We chose a longer one ("Cars"), and -- as evidenced by the noise level and antsiness of many kids in second half of the night -- we went about 20 minutes past the breaking point.
Was a great night, but next year we'll take the length of the movie into more consideration.
