Casino Night

I think most Casino Night's are fun and harmless fundraisers. My nieces' high school has Casino Night at their after-prom party every year. The students are given a number of chips when they enter to play a variety of casino games. They cash their chips in for donated prizes. No cash changes hands.

While I have no personal experience, I imagine a school fundraiser would be run in a similar fashion except that attendees buy the chips at the door and then exchange them for prizes. Again, no actual cash changes hands except for the original purchase of chips. Is that the general idea Mulready Mom?

Not sure a Casino night / gambling is something you should promote or use in a school setting. Some people could get the wrong impression.

Has anyone ever hosted one? We are looking to gain parents participation as well as fun. If you have done one, please give details.
